The Deerfield river in Massachusetts is a fantastic place for great rafting. And on this half-day trip, we would like to guide you on a journey through the Zoar Gap section of the river. This area is not too difficult, but is still full of the excitement. Hence making it ideal for people who want to enjoy rafting with the whole family!
The Zoar Gap is a 10 mile stretch of great white water. The scenery you will get to see is splendid, and is full of natural beauty and wonder. However, because this is a rafting trip, you will also get to enjoy the fun of the rapids. A few examples of the class II rapids you will encounter on this trip include Pinball, Microwave and Freight Train. Finally, there is a class III rapid near the end of the Zoar Gap, but it is very manageable, and will provide you with lots of fun and excitement!
Participants on this trip have to be a minimum of 7 years of age. And you should be comfortable in the winter. However, because this is a beginner level rafting adventure, you don’t require any previous experience. But rest assured, we will see to it that you are safe and secure throughout the approximately 6 hour voyage.
Rafting on the Deerfield river is an opportunity nobody who wants to enjoy the rapids should miss. And with sections like the Zoar Gap ideal for people who have never rafted before, or people who want their kids to enjoy the experience, you can’t go wrong.
So send us a request, put on your life jacket and helmet, hop on the raft and enjoy the rapids!
