The Scottish winter offers an infinite number of adventures to be had on the ice. The variety is inmense, from the ice falls and frozen turf of the Southern Highlands, the vast plateaus and granite crags of the Cairngorms to the snow ice of Ben Nevis.
I have been exploring this environment for over 18 years. I have therefore an excellent knowledge of where to go in all conditions. Besides, private guiding allows you the opportunity to maximize your time on the hill. Which means more fun time!
This program is aimed for all keen hill walkers, skiers, scramblers and climbers. You don't need previous winter experience.
Some common venues in this are Glencoe, the Southern Highlands, Glencoe, the Northern Cairngorms and Lochaber. Also, pleas note I can travel to your base.
Below there is a list of common objectives.
The traverse of An Teallach, Liathach and the Aonach Eagach
Ben Nevis mixed and ice climbs such as Vanishing Gully (V), Point Five Gully (V), Green Gully (IV) Tower Ridge (IV), and Number 3 Gully Buttress (III)
Southern Highland routes such as Central Gully of Ben Lui (I), Taxus (III) and Peter Pan (V)
The mixed climbs of Cairngorm, such as Shadow Buttress A (IV), Route Major (IV) and The Milky Way (III)
Ski touring in the Cairngorms and Ben Lawers range
Munro bagging and snowholing on the Cairngorm plateau
Do you want to come to Scotland and climb during the winter. Then please get in touch with me! I will be very happy to guide you here and let you enjoy an unforgettable time on our mountains.

I was fortunate enough to have Euan as my Guide for my first alpine adventure. Euan’s patience, knowledge and humour made our trip challenging, rewarding, educational and above all fun. I would not hesitate to book him for future outgoings and recommend him highly to anyone who is looking for a guide in the mountains or on the crag.
Nathan
Spending a day in the hills with Euan is always a pleasure: Summer or Winter he will always ensure that you’re experience of the day will be remembered. His leadership style and skills are excellent and he is always willing to instruct and pass knowledge on no matter what the activity is.

Some of the best days I have had in the winter hills have been those guided by Euan. The climbing is always challenging, for me, but his calm reassurance and expertise always results in an enjoyable and memorable day.I am already looking forward to doing more routes with him next winter!
