There is an assortment of different locations that we can enjoy and climb on during this trip. Those potential spots include the North Cascades National Park, the Index Town Walls, the Snowqualmie Pass and more. In order to participate in this trip, you should have prior rock climbing experience. You should also be in good physical condition.
Spending 4 days in the Cascades of Washington is an unforgettable experience. The views and the landscape are incredible. And you will also get to learn a great deal about the thrilling activity of rock climbing. To be a part of this adventure, just send me a request.
Would you like to learn the skills necessary for snow climbing? Then come and join me on this course, also in the Cascades.
On the first day of the trip, we will meet at a convenient park and ride in Seattle. From there, we will carpool to a predetermined location, where the course will begin. Today we will be going over rope skills, communication and how to use traditional protection. After some practice climbs, we will relax in camp, while learning how to properly read maps.
Today, we will practice multi-pitch climbing. You will climb several multi-pitch routes, while refining the skills of rack protection, how to manage belays, and much more. At the end of the day we will either return to the same camp, or drive closer to our alpine climb.
Depending on the distance and difficulty level, as well as your skill level, we will choose different alpine climbing locations, where you can practice for the next day’s big climb. At the end of the day, we will rest in a campsite in the mountains.
On the last day, we will climb a classic alpine route, descend, return to camp and head back to the trailhead. From there, we will drive back to Seattle.
