Hiking day in Waimea Canyon and Kōkeʻe State Park, Kauai

This hiking experience through Waimea Canyon and Kōkeʻe State Park is a unique opportunity to enjoy two of the most beautiful landmarks in Kauai. During one full day, you will be able to learn about the island scenery and explore remote spots.

The total duration of the tour is of 6/7 hours, from pick up/meet up to drop off, and includes not only the hiking time but also a scenic drive of 1 hour each way, stopping for lunch at a rustic mountain top lodge, and stopping at several overlooks of Waimea Canyon and The Napali Coast as accessed from Kōkeʻe State Park 4k feet above (not the Kalalau Trail accessed from the North Shore). Which trail(s) we actually hike will depend on the group’s interest and fitness level. and the amount of time and difficulty level of the hike is also adjustable as the tour is private and fully customizable.

During the trek, you will pass by the towns of Hnapépé and Waimea, which were important cores in the prosperous sugar industry that took place in Hawaii between 1835 and 2010. 

The Waimea Canyon is one of the highlights that will blow your mind. The colorful rocky walls reveal its beauty and invite you to admire nature’s wonders. In addition, you will see amazing views of the well-known Napali Coast and the Waipo’o Falls.

Inside the park, I will show you secret corners with exotic vegetation and forest birds. You will be able to explore the terrain and reward yourself with the tropical scenery you’ll discover at every step you make.
