It’s my pleasure to invite you to this rock climbing course in Villarrica National Park. Famous for its volcanoes, rivers, caves and lagoons this Patagonian paradise is located in the La Araucanía region of Chile, near Pucón. According to your wishes we may leave for either 1 to 4 days.
I will be happy to teach you all the essential techniques and rope maneuvers for rock climbing as well as ice climbing. This will be a perfect opportunity to learn and progress through mixed alpine terrain!
The content of the course will be as follows:
Crampons and ice ax techniques
Introduction to climbing in mixed terrain
Assembly of meetings in snow, ice and rock
Progression Techniques
Safety during rope progression
Assurance on mixed routes
Ascent Logistics
Knowledge of the environment
Progression in multi-length routes
Techniques for descending and installing rappels
Our course will take place in the Cajón del Arena, an ideal spot located inside the Villarrica National Park. Vacancies will be open during September and October.
Keep in mind that in order to join me on this rock climbing course, all climbers will need to pass my Ice Climbing Level 1 courses as well as the Rock Climbing Level 2 (or prove equivalent knowledge). Also, great physical condition is a must.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
