Sierra Nevada

1 Day

May - Aug

Description

Come with me and climb the rocky walls of Los Vados with the help of iron steps and all the safety equipment. I am happy to invite you to a Via Ferrata adventure where you will learn the basic techniques about this amazing outdoor activity.

Los Vados is a region of Granada ideal for the practice of Via Ferrata. Here you will find vertical itineraries for all levels. In addition, its walls are equipped with steps of iron, steel cables and chains. In this way, you will enjoy a safe and much easier climbing experience.

I love to take my clients to this Via Ferrata day because:

  • It is an adventurous activity scaling on a steep scarlet wall;

  • You can test your climbing and rappelling skills;

  • The most wonderful views of the rocky Azud de Vélez;

  • It will be a secure experience in the company of an expert guide;

  • You will take a digital album with the best shots of you climbing the walls.

ITINERARY

Here I share with you a sample itinerary of this adventure. Remember that any item can be adapted to your wishes and expectations.

I will pick you up in central Granada and we’ll drive to the Azud de Vélez. At the foot of this amazing gorge I will give you some previous tips and help you to put your safety gear on in order to start the ascent.

This wall counts on chains and sturdy iron footsteps. Thus you can test your climbing abilities or improve the current ones in a safe way. You also can challenge yourself by rappelling along the rocky face of the cliff… It will be really fun! At the end of the day we’ll enjoy a relaxing and deserved coffee or tea with muffins and some snacks. Finally, we’ll return to Granada by a transfer.

As you can see, Los Vados offers a great Via Ferrata day suitable for all the family (with the exception of children 11 years or younger). You can come with them or your friends. Remember that I will need at least 2 people for this activity to take place. And don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes as well as hiking boots.

Finally, let me tell you that you won’t need prior experience in climbing or Via Ferrata. However, a good physical shape is a plus. Keep in mind you must be able to climb and descend stairs all the day long.

Don’t miss the chance to challenge yourself in this unique Via Ferrata experience in Los Vados. Get in touch with me as soon as possible and I will help you plan a perfect trip in the best vertical walls of Granada!

Mountain Guide

I'm a lover of adventure sports, with 23 years of experience in almost all its modalities. My passion is climbing, although my profession is more focused on another of my passions: the canyoning. I'm ICOpro Instructor (the only one in Spain), which allows me to join my two passions, sport and teaching.
I have climbed and done canyoning in many countries of the world like Indonesia, Morocco, Argentina, France, Switzerland and India. And what my travels have truly taught me is that what really matters is the people and what they can teach me. I learn from each of the people I lead and I love that.
