Description

In the south-west face of Punta Fanes Sud (2,980 meters), near Cortina d’Ampezzo, Via Ferrata Tomaselli is one of the most beautiful and challenging via ferratas in the Dolomites. It’s fully equipped with wire ropes and has several exposed and difficult passages.

Departing from Falzarego Pass (2,117 meters), we’ll head to the Lagazuoi cable car (2, 752 meters) and then descend to the Travenanzes fork (2,500 meters).

During the via ferrata, we’ll face several challenging and exposed sections. The path will lead us to the left of the Alta Cengia di Fanes and then up to Punta Fanes Sud (2980mt). Finally, we’ll return to the foot of the south wall and continue to the Falzarego Pass.

The itinerary has a duration of around 1.45 hours and an elevation gain of 300 meters. Due to the difficulty of the via ferrata, keep in mind that it’s mandatory to have prior experience as well as a very good level of fitness. Participants should be very good at climbing up and down.

So, does this adventure in the Dolomites sound like something for you? Then don’t hesitate to send the request and book your place. I’ll be happy to be your guide!

We had a wonderful experience on top of Großglocklner. We felt very secure during the whole trip. Mauro was always clear and we got to learn several tips for our next adventures. I recommend!

Kristen

We had such a great trip! We felt incredibly safe with Mauro even during some intense, crowded moments up on the peak. All in all, we had a great experience!

Our dolomites experience was amazing! Mauro was really nice and patient with me and my wife. We changed our itinerary on the last day of dolomites as the via ferrata on piz boe would have been too difficult, instead we did a smaller one on Mauro's suggestion.
