You feel like you are walking on a tight rope, tempting fate. And that's because you are. However, on this trek, you will be doing it safely with an experienced guide helping you along the way.

As for the location of this adventure, you can't do better than Val d'Isère. Long considered one of the most beautiful resort towns in all of France. Val d'Isère has been home to several world-famous events, from the Winter Olympics in 1992 to the ninth stage of the 2007 Tour de France to the Alpine World Ski Championships of 2009. Thus making it the perfect backdrop for this Via Ferrata adventure.

There are different areas for this Via Ferrata adventure. They include Les Plates and Rocher de Tovière, Rocher de Peisey Nancroix and Cormet de Roselend. These routes vary in level, from Very Easy to Difficult. All of these routes are equipped with Ladders, Rungs, and Cables.

What people are saying about E-S Adventure Guides

Jerald

It was our first time outdoor bouldering and Ivan was extremely friendly and prioritized safety. He also helped guide us through the different routes and outdoor bouldering techniques.

Joshua

My teenage son and I spent two afternoons in April bouldering with our guide, Leo, in Fontainebleau. Leo was an excellent guide and teacher. He selected boulders that were both challenging and within our skill level. Leo also share fun information about the area we were bouldering in and gave helpful information to make sure we got to the right place at the right time. We highly recommend Leo and would gladly do another bouldering excursion with him.

Claudia

I was in Paris for a few days and really wanted to try bouldering at Fontainebleau, but since it was my first time and I didn’t have any friends to go with, I wasn’t sure how to make it happen. A quick Google search led me to Explore Share, and even before I booked anything, they were super responsive and helpful with all my questions. On the day itself, my guide Ivan was amazing—he helped me read the routes, build trust in the footholds, figure out the beta, and even showed me how to downclimb safely. Overall, a fantastic experience and I’m so glad I went for it!

Robbie

Leo was great! He was very knowledgeable about Fontainebleau climbing and history. We only had a half day in the area and were able to cram in way more climbing because of his knowledge and expertise. Highly recommended!
