Via ferrata Formenton from the summit of Tofana di Mezzo, near Cortina

On this opportunity, I invite you to join me on an exciting via ferrata in the Dolomites. We’ll take the Via ferrata Formenton from the summit of Tofana di Mezzo (3,244 meters) and reach the top of Tofana di Dentro (3,238 meters). 

First of all, we’ll meet at the Tofana cable car and head to the summit of Tofana di Mezzo, where our via ferrata starts. Once there, we’ll begin a steep descent with the help of cables through beautiful alpine landscapes in the Dolomites. Then, we’ll descend to the mountain pass and the lowest point between both mountains and ascend to the southern crest of Tofana di Dentro.

After discovering some remains from World War I on the way, we’ll reach the summit and contemplate dazzling views of the surrounding peaks. Finally, we’ll descend through the north ridge to the Ra Valles cable car station and end the program.

As for the difficulty, keep in mind that it’s mandatory to have prior mountaineering experience as well as a very good level of fitness. Also, it’s important to take this via ferrata in perfect weather conditions. I can lead this program from the end of June to October!
