Piz Boè is the highest peak in the Sella group (a massif on the Dolomites), rising to 3152 m. Cesare Piazetta via ferrata takes you up to the top!
The starting point of this via ferrata route is Passo Pordoi, at an easy access from Canazei (Trento) or Arabba (Belluno).
A hiking trail passing along a World War I memorial site will lead us to the base of the route in one hour.
This is a quite challenging and demanding via ferrata. Because of that, it's important to be in a very good physical condition and having previous climbing skills. The first 100 meters are the most steep and difficult. However, there are some terraced sections to relax.
The whole trip can take between 4-6 hours.
Would you like to challenge youserlf in this superb via ferrata? Send me a request so we can organize this together!
If you're seeking other via ferratas in the Dolomites, check out Tridentina Sella route, also in the Sella group.

Mountain Guide
Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo and Davide.
If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.
I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.
Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.
My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).
Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

The trip was superb. We all enjoyed the day a lot. Thank you!
Swift response and accurate information provided in advance of the trip. Fantastic experience with Fabio Trivieri. Fully 5-start service. Thanks
Paolo was a fantastic guide, knowledgable, helpful and patient on a few tricky sections just to build confidence and keep the whole group happy. Also very cool sun glasses. The gear was solid and the route just right for us. Very much recommended.
We were in contact with Renato before we booked the vacation. He was not polite when we asked about the cost and informations about the accomodations of our trip in the mountains. BUT Renato couldn’t be our guide at the and, so we had Bruno as our guide. Bruno was the best guide ever for our vacation! He was very polite, funny and kind. Thanks to him we had an amazing vacation!!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
