Valpelline is a ski area in northwest Italy, on the border with Switzerland. It is one of the side valleys of the Aosta Valley, one of the top off-piste skiing destinations in Europe. Lying in the western Pennine Alps, Aosta includes several iconic snow-covered peaks and features great backcountry terrain with amazing powder snow!
Our tour will depart from the town of Valpelline, up to the Prarayer mountain refuge (2,005m), where we will spend the first night. The following day, we will climb Chàteau des Dames, a stunning 3,488m-high pyramid-shaped rugged peak with four ridges. At the summit, we will be able to ring its famous bell and enjoy a beautiful view to major mountains in the area, such as Monte Rosa (4,634m) and Matterhorn (4,478m). On the third day, we will traverse to the Aosta refuge (2,788m), from where we will ride across several mountains, including Tête de Valpelline (3,798m), Mont Brulé (3,585m), Col Collon (3,074m), and Becca d’Oren (3,497m).
This is a 5-day trip for a maximum of 6 people. However, I can adjust the itinerary based on participants’ time availability and preferences.
Enjoy this perfect winter adventure in the scenic Italian Alps. Book your trip now!
Please note I also offer a ski touring version of this program. If you are looking for other splitboarding activities in the area, check out the 6-day Monte Rosa trip, the 6-day Grand Paradiso National Park tour, and the 3-day Grand Saint Bernard pass program.
