Let’s discover together the thrill of La Vallée Blanche in Chamonix on an exciting off-piste skiing adventure.
This tour is a haven for backcountry skiing enthusiasts. Join me for an invigorating experience that offers breathtaking views on the Mt Blanc range and exhilarating ski descents.
During winter, Chamonix's popular spots can get quite crowded. Opting for off-piste skiing allows you to escape the masses and enjoy the pristine surroundings of Vallée Blanche. Notably, the descent here boasts an impressive vertical drop of 2,800 meters, making it one of the most exciting skiing descents worldwide. You'll have 2-3 hours to soak in the remarkable sights of glaciers and high altitude peaks.
The ski journey kicks off at the picturesque Aiguille du Midi lift (3842 m) and concludes in Chamonix. The added convenience of the Aiguille du Midi cable car makes accessing this backcountry skiing adventure all the more hassle-free.
This trip is best suited for individuals with prior off-piste skiing experience (you need to be comfortable skiing down black slopes on any kind of snow) and a reasonable level of fitness to handle up to 3,000 vertical meters in a day.
Get ready for an unforgettable ski tour that promises a unique winter experience. Book your Vallée Blanche with me now and gear up for an exceptional tour of skiing. You’ll find all the details of this tour in the FAQ section.

Which itinerary of La Vallée Blanche are we going to take?
There are different variations to skiing down La Vallée Blanche. I'll decide the one that we'll take based on your ski level and the conditions of the day. The tour will take 4 to 5 hours.
What happens if the conditions are not good to ski down La Vallée Blanche?
In case of bad weather or bad conditions, I'll propose an alternative off-piste skiing program in the Chamonix Valley. If nothing is possible on the given day, you'll have the choice to postpone to another day or cancel the tour. Please note that I'm the one deciding if the conditions are suitable or not.
Where can I rent the necessary ski equipment & safety gear?
I recommend you to go to Concept Pro Shop located in Chamonix (610 Route Blanche). They have all what you'll need and you'll get a 10% discount.
What ski equipment & safety gear will I need to have with me?
To ski down La Vallée Blanche, you'll need SAFETY GEAR (avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe) and the necessary MOUNTAINEERING EQUIPMENT (harness, crampons, ice axe, and a backpack that can carry your skis/snowboard). If you need to rent any of the above, you can do so at Concept Pro Shop located in Chamonix (610 Route Blanche). Don't forget to bring food, water, sunglasses or goggles, and sun protection.
Where and when will we meet?
We'll meet at the Aiguille du Midi cable car in Chamonix. The meeting time will be decided the day before departure. We usually go early in the morning (around 8 a.m.).
Do I need to buy a lift pass?
You need to buy your "Mont Blanc Unlimited" lift pass, either online or directly at the desk of Aiguille du Midi cable car in Chamonix. If you buy it online, you'll send me the ticket number so I can do the booking in advance, otherwise, we will do it on the spot when we meet.
What is included in the price I'm paying here?
The price includes my guiding fee. On top of this, you'll need to buy your lift pass ("Mont Blanc Unlimited") and the ski/mountaineering and safety equipment you might not have. You can rent these at Concept Pro Shop located in Chamonix (610 Route Blanche).
How experience do I need to be to ski down La Vallée Blanche?
You need to be comfortable skiing down black slopes on any kind of snow.
If I'm alone, is it possible to join a group?
I am not running any open groups. You'll go on a private tour with me which maximize the chances to have a great and safe experience.
If I'm a snowboarder, can I do the Vallée Blanche?
If you are comfortable doing long traverses and ski in a straight line on the flats, you should be fine with the run. I tend to avoid the classic variant for snowboarders because it has a lot of flats, but it's doable. We need to safely navigate across all kinds of terrain. The challenge is not to lose altitude or fall. While we ride on a glacier, we cannot take off the snowboard. Also, as the final part of the descent is long and flat, you'll need telescopic poles and crampons. These have to fit your snowboard.

Mountain Guide
I am an IFMGA mountain guide living in Cyprus. I have a passion for exploring the mountains since I was child. Kyperounda, the town where I was born and raised, was my first playground, the place where I started practising different outdoor activities.
First I learnt skiing. Then, I started training and taking part in races and competitions, traveling extensively in Europe. As I am very curious, I kept trying all kinds of sports until I discovered climbing and all its exciting possibilities.
I also developed both my academic and my practical skills in the university, where I studied Outdoor Studies and Sport Science. During that time, I obtained qualifications as a Mountain Leader and a Climber.
Teaching other people is one of the things I like the most. I find a deep joy in helping others to enjoy the mountains as much as I do.
The experience of all these years as well as my technical skills, have taken me closer to my goal: becoming an IFMGA mountain guide.

It was a lot of fun the visibility wasn't that great but there was a lot of snow from recent storm.

Kyriakos was fantastic. Without a knowledgable guide, this is a dangerous trip. Felt very safe with Kyriakos. He also found us totally untracked snow on a busy day. Nice person and very knowledgable. Explore Share was good too, but I gave them 3 stars because I found their site and messaging system clunky. It would also be nice if they offered an option to include all the gear. We had to rent everything before hand.

Fantastic guide. Great experience and the site was simple and intuitive to navigate.

We had a bluebird day to ski Vallee Blanche. Unfortunately, not a lot of fresh snow but still an absolutely stunning area to explore! Would have liked a bit more time to take photos and ‘take it all in’ because the valley is absolutely stunning. There were a few times we felt a bit rushed, but other than that it was a very positive experience.

Kyros was amazing as a guide. We did not get to do Vallee Blanche due to Aiguille Du Midi not opening however found an amazing alternative. Highly recommend.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
