Tierra Del Fuego is a place where the name alone inspires awe. Literally located at the bottom of the world, this amazing area of Patagonia, Argentina is unforgettable. And on this trip, you will get to enjoy a full day of rock climbing near the capital city of Ushuaia.
Ushuaia is a truly beautiful and unique place. Surrounded by the Martial mountain range in the north, the ocean in the south, and forest all around, it feels like a hidden, magical place.
An amazing area full of ancient ice and rock faces is available just a 30 minute walk outside of Ushuaia. Also, the area where I will take you is not too difficult to climb as well. So you don't have to be an expert to enjoy it. Instead, this day trip is designed for beginners who want to learn how to rock climb properly and safely. We will cover several basic techniques to get you started. However, if you are an advanced climber, there is still more than enough challenging climbing available to sharpen your skills!
While this trip is designed as a day trip, I can also offer a multi-day option if you are interested.
It is difficult to describe how stunning the landscape of Tierra Del Fuego is. But I can promise you that once you see it, you will never forget it. And while climbing the gorgeous rock faces just outside of Ushuaia, the view will only get better.

I was born and live in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world! I've been skiing since I was 2 years old, and competed as a ski athlete in a Nordic ski and Biathlon world ski championships, world cups and in the winter Olimpic Games Torino 2006
In 2007 I retired from professional competitions to focus on my guiding career. I trained on rock, ice and mixed climbing skills as well as guiding techniques and became a mountain guide in 2011 at the Argentinean Mountaineering Guides Association (AAGM). In 2017 I completed the guiding courses to become also a certified Ski Mountain Guide GEM-AAGM.
I've done a large number of technical climbs at the Darwin Range and Patagonia while many of those are new lines

Sebastian was a great guide! We felt very safe and it was really fun getting to know him. We liked him so much we decided we would do a second trip while we are in town. If I ever come back to Ushuaia, I will definitely track him down for more trips

Facundo was amazing! I have some climbing experience and my partner had never climbed before. Similarly, my partner speaks Spanish but I only speak English. Facundo not only guided us expertly through several routes but also taught us a lot about Ushuaia. The experience does involve a 20-30 minute hike to the climbing location so be prepared for a trek. But it was a fantastic experience and highly recommend being able to say you climbed in Patagonia :)
