Would you like to enjoy one of the most beautiful treks in Nepal and participate in one of its most colorful festivals? Then join us on this Upper Mustang Trek during the Tiji Festival in May 2023 and discover the full color of the Himalayas.
Upper Mustang is a special place in Nepal that preserves many Tibetan traditions and lies on the border with China. Every year, visitors trek to this unique location to experience the local Buddhist culture and visit monasteries, pilgrimage sites, and local towns on the way. Furthermore, the mountain views and culture are also one of a kind. Every year, the Tiji Festival, a special 3-day Buddhist ceremony that reenacts the chasing out of demons from the sacred land of Lo Manthang, takes place in the region.
On this trek, we will get to both explore Upper Mustang and participate in the unique festivities of the Tiji Festival. Furthermore, we will spend 1 night in a local home, 1 night in a monastery guest house, and one night at a tea house, which will give us a real feel of the local culture. Of course, you will need to be physically fit, as we will be hiking for 4 to 5 hours a day. The Tiji festival of 2023 will take place on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of May of 2023.

How will accommodation and meals be handled during the trek?
We choose best available lodges in the mountain during your trek. All the meals you can choose as per in the respective lodges and guest houses.
What is the best time of the year for this hike?
Last week of March to May and September to November
Can I join a group?
Yes, during the Peak Season. (Mar-May and Sep-Nov)
What happens in the event of bad weather?
If the domestic flight bwtween Pokhara to Jomsom get cancelled due to bad weather, then we will provide 4x4 private Car (road transportation) on same day.
