Are you a fan of real adventure and real challenge? Then this 2-day ski mountaineering expedition is definitely for you. During this trip, which will be as thrilling as it will be arduous, you will be reaching 3 different summits. Those summits include the Grand Combin de Valsorey (4,184m), the Grand Combin of Grafeneire (4,314m) and the Grand Combin de la Tsessette (4,135m). Along with being tremendous summits, they are all part of the Alps’ 82, 4,000 meter plus peaks.
Our adventure will begin at Bourg St. Pierre. From there, we will make our way to the Cabane Valsorey, where you will get to relax and rest. And trust me when I say, you will definitely need that rest for the day to come because on the second day of the trip, we will make our way to the top of each of the previously mentioned summits before returning to the valley.
We will be ascending between 1,250 and 1,800 meters and descending approximately 3,050 meters during this trip. As a result, participants on this trip should be in excellent physical condition. You should also have previous experience with high altitude ski mountaineering.
The Grand Combin is a majestic massif. And the summits you will get to reach on this trip are tremendous. So, if you’re looking for a trip that will excite you and push you, this is the expedition for you. To be a part of it, just send me a request.
I also offer an 8-day ski mountaineering trip in the Bernese Oberland, which you can enjoy here.
We will meet at Bourg St. Pierre at 8:00 am. After a briefing, we will make the easy climb to the Cabane Valsorey, where we will spend the night.
On the second and final day of the trip, we will climb to the Col du Plateau. After that, we will continue on to the summit of the Grand Combin Valsorey, then to the Grand Combin de Grafeneire. Finally, we will go to the Grand Combin de la Tsessette before stopping at the Cabane Valsorey and proceeding down into the valley.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
