Description

Explore the iconic Los Glaciares National Park on this incredible hike to Laguna Torre. Follow me for a day trip to discover some incredible corners and views of the Argentine Patagonia.

This epic trail begins in the town of El Chaltén. We’ll follow the Fitz Roy River Valley and hike through the Moraines Glacier until we reach Laguna Torre. Along the way, and if the weather allows, we’ll catch fantastic views of Grande Glacier, Solo Mountain, Adela Range and the mythical Tower of Granite.

Laguna Torre is located in one of the main valleys and offers impressive views of Cerro Torre and the Adela Massif. Cerro Torre is one of the most beautiful and difficult mountains to hike in the world with an altitude of 3,133 meters.

The hike takes approximately 8 hours and covers 11 miles. Although the trail is open year-round, the best season goes from September to May. The path is not very difficult, we’ll only be ascending 200 meters, it is clearly marked and there’s no need for previous experience, but you do need to be physically prepared for the adventure.
