Step into the wilderness and explore the rugged wilderness of La Pedriza in Sierra de Guadarrama on this trekking expedition!

On this trip we'll have the opportunity to explore the Sierra de Guadarrama, just 40 kilometers from Madrid, which divides the Castilian plateau in two as it majestically rises. This ancient, weathered mountain range features smooth, towering peaks exceeding 2,400 meters (7,874 feet) in height.

Here, we'll journey to La Pedriza, a unique granite massif on the southern slopes of the Cuerda Larga. As a true climber's paradise, it features a variety of spires, needles, cliffs, channels, and subterranean passages—a veritable mountaineering school that we know and appreciate for its uniqueness.

La Pedriza is a labyrinth of granite crags, each with its own unique name. We call this route the Pedriza Escondida (Hidden Pedriza) since it's rarely seen. Beyond the Elefantito, the path winds through a maze of rock formations, as beautiful as they are otherworldly. The Muralla China, Yelmo, and Lagunilla are just a few of the unforgettable sights you will encounter on this journey.

Depending on the season, you'll need the following gear: **Winter**: Hiking boots, thermal pants and top, fleece jacket, down jacket, windproof jacket, raincoat, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a 20-liter backpack. **Summer**: Hiking boots or shoes, fleece jacket, waterproof jacket, water, and sunglasses.
