  • The hike takes place in one of the most important valleys of the area.
  • The path takes us through different vantage points of the impressive mountains.
  • An exciting and challenging hike with outstanding views.

Description

Follow me to the heart of one of the most important valleys of Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina. On this one-day hike, we’ll follow a beautiful path to Laguna de los Tres, an incredible lagoon with views of the Fitz Roy.

Our hiking path is 10 miles from El Chaltén. We’ll drive up to El Pilar Hostería, close to the starting point, and begin our hike up the hill. Along the way, we’ll get different impressive views of the mountain chains around us. The path will take us to the stunning Laguna de los Tres, a turquoise lagoon with unbelievable views of the Fitz Roy. Then, we’ll hike back to El Chaltén through a different path that gifts us with views of the Massif of Granite.

The hike takes approximately 9 hours and covers 12.4 miles. I recommend this trip to participants with some hiking experience and in good physical shape since we’ll be ascending 700 meters and there are parts of the trail with loose rocks. Although the trail is open year-round, the best season goes from September to May.

So send your request and get ready to discover this incredible lagoon in the Argentine Patagonia.

If you are looking for more options to explore the Los Glaciares National Park, follow me for a one-day hike to Laguna Torre or Loma del Pliegue Tumbado.

Malin

Marcos was a really good guide. He told us about the fauna and even helped us to spot consortes. We had a great trek to Tres Lagos in a good pace.

Andrew

Weny was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable and kept us motivated the whole time. I would definitely recommend taking this hike. It’s very challenging but worth the view of Laguna de los Tres and Fitz Roy!

Birgitte

Web were so pleased having Gisela as our guide. She was on time, nice company, very knowledgeable, very patient when the speed from one of us wasn’t that fast. She had egen customized the trip, sso we made a round-trip, instead of going back and forth
