Description

Tre Cime di Lavaredo (or the Three Peaks of Lavaredo) are the most iconic peaks in the Italian Dolomites and one of the most popular destinations in the Alps. Follow me to some of the best climbing routes in this area!

The stunning Tre Cime di Lavaredo stand with no mountains around them, making them even more impressive. They are formed by Cima Grande (Big Peak), Cima Piccola (Little Peak) and Cima Ovest (Western Peak). The first two attract the most climbers for their relatively easy routes and approach.

On this adventure, you get to choose the length of the trip and the route. The routes available are:

  • Cima Grande – Normal route (650 m)
  • Dibona Ridge (NE ridge) – Cima Grande (650 m)
  • Comici Route – Cima Grande North Face (550 m)
  • Hasse-Brandler Route – Cima Grande North Face (600 m)
  • Spigolo Giallo (Yellow Edge) – Cima Piccola (380 m)
  • Cima Piccola – Normal Route (400 m)
  • Cima Ovest – Normal Route (500 m)

I am happy to help you choose the route that accommodates best to your skill level, goals and time available. If you can’t choose only one, why not stay for longer and try different routes?

Mountain Guide

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo and Davide.

If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Feel free to get in touch with me if you are coming in the Dolomites for skiing (alpine, freeride and ski touring), rock climbing, sport climbing and multi pitch climbing. It will be my pleasure to guide you here and let you discover my secret spots.

The most amazing experience I ever had in the mountains, super classic multi-pitch route with astonishing views. Patrick is a 5 star guide, super professional, calm and such a great companion! A super fun day to be remembered forever.

Etienne was an excellent rock climbing guide and also thoroughly enjoyable company throughout our climb. We climbed Dibona Arete on Cime Grande together. A wonderful climb, although for me some challenging moves which I only completed because Etienne was taking great care of belaying me. I've no hesitation in recommending Etienne. Very well organised by explore-share.com too.

Etienne is a very experience local guide who knows the area very well. He guided my boyfriend and I for 2 days. The first day, we went on a 13 multi-pitch climb up Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Etienne guided us up the mountain efficiently and safely while also taking time to explain to us some basic mountaineering concepts and our surrounding mountains. We started at 7am and was rappeling down by 3pm as he had originally estimated. The 2nd day was a more casual single pitch sport day where Etienne gave us some private instructions on how to efficiently climb outside using more legs and less arms. We are very happy with the service Etienne provided, he had great communication skills and spoke great english. We would consider him for future guided trips in the area again.
