Kyrgyzstan is a country of high mountains that boasts a variety of exceptional landscapes. This 11-day guided trail running tour starts in Bishkek, the capital city, taking to discover totally different locations and scenery along the way!
We will run in the heart of canyons, then on the high pastures of the Son Koul Lake at more than 3000m of altitude, before running at the foot of the glaciers in the valleys of the solid Terskey massif, part of the majestic Tian Shan mountains range.
This trip will also be an opportunity to discover the amazing Kyrgyz nomadic culture. During these days we will meet the people of this country and discover their unique way of life.
Bear in mind this is really demandind trail running tour,only suitable for experienced runners with an excellent fitness level. On average, we will be facing a positive elevation gain of 1500m to 2500m per day, covering between 30 to 40 km every day.

Arrival at Bishkek Airport. Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. We visit the Kyrgyz capital, its bazaars and parks. Night in a Bed and Breakfast.
Departure to the Sussamyr Valley via the Tuy Ashu pass (transfer 4h). From there, we follow a trail to reach the village of Kyzyl Oy. We go along the Kokomeren River, followin a beautiful canyon before descending to the Sussamyr valley. Homestay accommodation.
About 20 km and 700m D-.
Trail to reach the village of Chaek. Ascent to the Son Koul Lake. Night in a yurt.
About 30km, 500m D +, 450m D-.
Trail around Son Koul Lake, a 270km2 high mountain lake, located at an altitude of 3,016 m. Surrounded by high peaks at more than 4000m, wildlife and landscapes are very rich. Night in a yurt.
About 30km, 400m D +, 400m D-.
Trail in the morning towards the 33 Parrots Pass. About 15km, 200m D +.
3-hour transfer to Naryn, to the trail starting poing inthe Terskey massif zone. Night in a bivouac.
Camp Naryn – Jack Bolot North Slope. Approx. 32km, D: +1 500m / D: – 1 400m. Passage to 3 900m. Bivouac
Camp Jack Bolot North – Karakamam Lagoon. Approx. 23km, D +: 550m D-: 365m. Bivouac
Karakaman – Jiluu Suu. About 25km, D +: 753m D- 670m 25km. Bivouac
Iluu Su – Ton – Kokbulak. About 18km, D +: 700 m. , D-: – 800 m. Passage to 3900 m. Transfer (40 minutes) to reach the Aksay Canyon, 10 km of trail until Lake Issyk Kul.
Transfer (5 hours) and return to Bishkek. Night at a guesthouse in Bishkek.

Required Level:
Required Equipment: A 15 to 20 L minimum backpack for the day- A waterproof travel bag (not suitcase!)- Trail clothing (short and long) - 3 high / 2 low / under change of clothes (3 knickers + 3 socks including one pair of hot ski socks)- Clothing for travel and Bishkek and evening in the lodges-light fleece with hood-beanie or headband + 1 round neck Buff type-Cap- Sunglasses- Down jacket-Jacket gore tex type- Windproof jacket- Gloves-Windproof and waterproof trousers-2 pairs of trail shoes including 1 pair of gore tex type- 1 swimsuit-1 Gourd of 1L minimum-Camera- Phone / charger battery- Earplugs- Sleeping bag (no silk cloth)-Foldable cup- Waterproof bag for the things that will be in the trail bag-Toilet stuff (shower gel, toothbrush, microfiber towel)-Book and mp3 music for the evening- A pair of sticks-Mini trail gaiters-Thick survival blanket- Headlamp preferably with batteries rather than battery-Pharmacy kit
• Meals: The "outdoor" cooking will be prepared by your guides with some meal taken in a restaurant in the villages. The meal in Bishkek will be at your charge. Expect 6 or 7 EUR per day and per person. Do not forget to bring your own energy bars and supplies for the rest of the day. • Water: Drinking water is rarely accessible and altitude is a dehydration factor, therefore it is necessary to take at least 1.5L in each backpack (thermo or water bottles) and a purification system water (tablets or filter) • Travel time: The indicated times are given as an indication. They may vary according to the nature of the terrain (dry land vs rain, snow), the level of the group and your adaptation to altitude. Some hazards can also impact journey times, like injuries, etc, •Required Level: Through all the stages, the guide reserves the right to stop a participant if their physical level is insufficient or for safety reasons. In that case, we will do what is necessary to organize the repatriation and without compensation from our part. It is up to the participants to assess their level regarding the required level for this tour and to sign the registration form bearing this in mind. Just send us a request and we will send you a LEVEL GRID with the specific level requirements for this tour. • Repatriation: Any individual transfer in case of injury, illness or insufficient physical levelt is under the participant’s responsibility. Therefore we recommend you to be insured individually for repatriation. However, in case of problem of one of the participants and to the extent possible, we will arrange for the repatriation of the latter, at its own charge. • Insurance: You must be insured in your personal capacity for the duration of the trip: cancellation, third party liability, medical expenses, repatriation, rescue costs and research. If necessary, we can help you by hiring our own insurance contract (4.5% of the price of the stay);

I hold the State Certificate of Mountain Leader (UIMLA), Athlete of Team Garmin Adventure. I won many trail competitions such as Oxygen Challenge, The Glaciers Tour of Vanoise, Albertville Trail, Drayes Blanches of Vercors, the Frison Roche Beaufort, Run and skate of Chamonix… I have also some racing podiums such as the Saintélyon, the Lyon Urban Trail, the Causses Marathon, the Allobroges. I am an ex-sportswoman of high level in rowing (World Championships, World Cups, France Championships). I have a mastery STAPS (Sport) and BEES First degree in rowing. I organise and supervise many trail courses in the Alps with a pro team, a friends group with whom we have a mission: Run and enjoy! J'ai eu l'opportunité de participer à deux stages, l'un dans le Cantal, l'autre à Chamonix. Un grand plaisir de partager une passion commune avec des participants très sympas de tous niveaux et de tous horizons. Caroline, une grande professionnelle de la montagne et du trail, n'a pas son pareil pour organiser ces rencontres, et tout cela dans une super ambiance et des paysages à couper le souffle.
J'ai fait deux stages avec Caro, c'est devenu une amie, et chacun de ces stages m'a laissé des souvenirs inoubliables. Le premier stage en 2014 en Haute Savoie à l'occasion du Trail du Gypaète. Le Deuxième stage en 2015, dans les Calanques de Marseille. Ces stages auront été parfaits à tous les niveaux: Paysages grandioses (on sent qu'ils ont été choisis avec soin), des échanges techniques avec des "pros" (un grand moment quand Caro inspecte les sacs à dos...), pleins de conseils nutrition - mode de vie etc... La découverte des autres stagiaires mais aussi des autres encadrants (très bon contact avec Guillaume Lenormand par ex.). Des conditions matérielles top (hébergement, repas, organisation etc...). Seule critique: le temps passe trop vite, c'est toujours trop court! Donc au final quand c'est fini, on n'a qu'une envie... c'est de repartir pour un autre stage! Et vu le nombre de personnes que l'on croise sur les stages qui en sont à leur n-ième participation, je peux affirmer que ce sentiment est partagé!
Pour moi le trail c'est avant tout la découverte de nouveaux territoires, les rencontres et les échanges avec d'autres passionnés, le respect de la nature. Mes 3 stages avec Caroline m'ont permis de retrouver ces fondamentaux dans un cadre toujours bon enfant, mais pas moins professionnel. Caroline est une passionnée de montagne et de tout ce qui y touche (sport, culture, gastronomie) et elle sait comme personne transmettre sa passion et ses bons conseils, toujours avec le sourire. Je garde un excellent souvenir des rencontres avec les autres stagiaires et mais aussi avec les autres encadrants, Guillaume, Seb, Cédric, Lydie et tant d'autres rencontrés au cours de ces stages.
