Come enjoy the stunning view of the highest massif in the Alps with a 6-day hiking tour through France, Italy and Switzerland. After guiding the Tour du Mont Blanc several times on the north side of the massif, this time I propose you to join me on this Tour du Mont Blanc Sud, along the south side of this impressive group of mountains.
We will be hiking on good mountain trails over passes and valleys, staying in alpine huts and in simple hotels, marveling ourselves at the increasingly prominent mountain peaks surrounding us. This is a tour with an international flair, covering three different countries, with spectacular mountain panorama views you will surely remember for a long time!
The traverse through a deep gorge into the Chamonix valley, with the view of the Mont Blanc peak, the highest mountain in the Alps and Western Europe, is truly impressive. The cable car allows us to gain more altitude and time, which we will enjoy leisurely during the rest of the route to Les Contamines, in France, where we can already get the first side views of the massif.
In the following days, you will hike over flower-rich meadows, mountain passes and through long valleys. We will also spend two nights in alpine huts, where we can let our gaze wander into the distance or into one of the many peaks of the Mont Blanc group, which accompanies us all the time along the way. There is also a great chance to see ibexes!
With each day, the peaks and walls of the Mont Blanc massif, which we admire from a safe distance, become even more impressive. In between, we shorten the less exciting descent with a cable car, before we again experience something a little more urban, like the French-Italian ambience in the Italian village of Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley.
Every day, we will be hiking for about 3 to 6 hours, ascending between 100 to 1300m, and descending 200 to 1200m per day.
From Courmayeur we climb the valley towards Val Ferret, next to the Swiss border, with the imposing walls and peaks of the Mont Blanc massif always in sight. We stay overnight on the way again in a simple guesthouse in Ferret, before we finally have Swiss soil under the feet, after we traverse a pass again.
If you would like to join me on this Tour du Mont Blanc Sud, just check the date below, book your place, and get ready for an unforgettable hiking experience!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
