Description

The Too Ashuu mountain pass (3400 m) in Kyrgyzstan is located in the Tian Shan mountains,  135 km from the city of Bishkek. On this Too Ashuu guided splitboarding week, I will take you to a popular ski resort on its southern slope for 7 days of amazing fun!

We will start from Bishkek from where we will drive for 2.5 hours to the ski base at Too Ashuu. The following morning, we will begin with our splitboarding activities. We will spend all day out on the mountains enjoying the stunning slopes. On the fifth day we will rest and do a special tour to the historical site of Manas Ordo. The last days of our tour we will go back to the mountains for some more splitboarding adventures until we return to Bishkek. Every day, after splitboarding we will also get the chance to rest our muscles at the ski resort sauna before dinner.

Because we will be out splitboarding every day, a good fitness level is a must. It is also important that you have some previous splitboarding experience. Of course, I will be there at all times to help and guide you!

Are you ready for a 7-day splitboarding adventure in the Tian Shan mountains? Then book your place now and join me on this week long guided tour in Too Ashuu!

Mountain Guide

Based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I’m an IFMGA-certified guide and the technical director of the Kyrgyz Mountain Guide Association (KMGA). I'm also a certified mountain guide and mountaineering instructor, and a “Snow Leopard” — having summited all five peaks over 7000m in the former Soviet Union. I’ve received extensive training in Switzerland and I’m a certified rescuer (carrying out rescues up to 6800m).

Ski touring and mountaineering are my two biggest passions and I love sharing these activities with my clients. I specialize in high altitude and technical ascents, heliskiing, backcountry camps and avalanche courses.

I’ve stood on the summit of a 7-thousander more than 20 times — including Lenin, Korjenevskaya, Communism (Somoni), Pobeda and Mustagh-Ata, among others. I’ve also participated in ski mountaineering expeditions to Lenin Peak and Mustagh-Ata and several 4-thousanders around the world.

I’ve also been organizing my own avalanche courses since 2009 and was in charge of translating materials on the Russian risk reduction method Nivocheck. I speak English and Russian.
