The northern regions Italy – specifically Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia – have some incredible mountain scenery. With various altitudes and land formations, it has so much to offer anyone who makes their way to this part of the country.
The landscapes that trickle down from the Alps are as breathtaking as they are diverse. The water flow has made deep cuts through the rocks as it runs down stream to the Mediterranean Sea. And surrounding these canyon passages are beautiful meadows, lush forests, and soaring peaks as you look towards the sky.
This is why a canyoning trip in the Belluno Gorge is so special. You can trek through canyons that have been undisturbed by most tourists and see some hidden gems of natural landscape. Camping in this environment is a memory you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
My programs here are designed to place you right into the wild of the gorges and experience an oft-forgotten part of an incredible country. I have tours for everyone, and can make sure you find the most exciting, safe, and fun way to jump and slide through the gorges. My knowledge of Belluno and northern Italy is extensive, so I can provide the best tour possible.
It is a sustained trip, spanning three days, so it requires a certain level of physical fitness. You should be in good shape and prepared for this length of adventure.
The starting location of the journey is in nearby Erto, a village with excellent local fare and ample accommodations for anyone who wishes to stay outside of the campsite.
Book three days canyoning in the beauty of Belluno Gorge NOW and experience a side of northern Italy that you never thought could be so exhilarating!
If you wanted to take a trip across the border to Austria, I can take you on an extreme canyoning program at Frauenbach! Or we can spend a day around the canyons of Tolmezzo on a more relaxed trip!

Mountain Guide
I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.
I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”
I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.
For more information, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss about your wishes and the different options I offer. I will be really happy to be your guide and share a great moment with you!

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Tobias, from the training day to summiting the Matterhorn. Couldn’t ask for a better guide 10/10
John
Tobias knows the Matterhorn and the surrounding area extremely well. He will go at a level that is comfortable for you and help you reach whatever mountaineering goal you have. Another reviewer said Tobias knows every step on the Matterhorn - and this is absolutely true. He's one of the BEST around.
Roberto
i guess it was a little our fault for not investigating the fact that due to weather its not always possible to climb the matterhorn, but we where notice 1 week before that the weather was not good, so it was very complicated to organize something interesting as second option.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
