Trekking to the summit of a mountain is an amazing, unforgettable experience. It is thrilling to reach the top of a mountain and enjoy views that seem to stretch out as far as your eyes and imagination can go. And to be able to enjoy such a journey in just a single day only makes things more incredible. And on this full day adventure, you will get to trek along the Marlboro Trail to the summit of the amazing Mount Monadnock (965m) in New Hampshire.
Made famous by several famed American writers, such as Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, Mount Monadnock has been enjoyed and admired for many, many years. And throughout this trek it will not be difficult for you to see why the peak has gained such acclaim. Truly stunning, the mountain is a dream for anybody who adores the outdoors.
At approximately 4 kilometers, the Marlboro Trail is a moderately technical route. The trail is slightly steep and can present difficulties at times. However, the views, along with the peace, as the trail is much less crowded as others in the area, makes the journey well worth it.
Another wonderful advantage of this trip is Mount Monadnock is located less than 100 kilometers away from the city of Boston. So this trek makes for a great addition to any vacation you may be taking to the New England metropolis.
