Come with me to one of the greatest backcountry skiing options in the Pyrenees going through the Balaitus, Vignemale and Panticosa massifs.
An impressive 6-day ski itinerary comparable to those you can get to do in the Alps! The Tena Valley Haute Route offers long descents and a purely Pyrenean terrain to enjoy a wonderful cross-country ski experience.
Our starting point will be in the Sarra Reservoir, in Sallent de Gállego (Huesca). From there, we will enter the high mountain area through the Collado de Los Musales, which will give us access to another world: the Tena Valley Haute Route.
We will discover the Tena Valley with our skis during the following 5 days! Find more details of the day-by-day program at the end of this description.
If you want to be part of this 6-day guided ski tour keep in mind that you will need some previous experience in ski mountaineering as well as a good level of off-piste descent technique.
So what are you waiting for? Send your request and book the trip now. It’ll be my great pleasure to guide you across the amazing Tena Valley Haute Route.
We will leave from the reservoir La Sarra and enter the high Pyrenean mountain. Night in the Respomuso refuge.
We will also make a beautiful ski descent to the Marcadau Valley. Then we will arrive at the Wallon hut where we will sleep at the foot of the Gran Facha.
More incredible ski descents with a beautiful view of the huge north face of the Vignemale. We will sleep in the Oulettes Hut, with one of the most beautiful landscapes of all the Pyrenees.
Depending on the weather conditions we will ascend one of the two peaks and descend again to the Oulettes Hut.
Crossing to the comfortable refuge of Bachimaña, already in the Panticosa circus, crowned by the Picos del Infierno and the Garmo Negro.
And one of the best ski descents to end in the legendary refuge of Casa de Piedra, the main ski center in the Tena Valley.

Fantastic climb! We were the only people climbing the normal route so we had the mountain to ourselves. Fede was great, highly professional, and he assessed the risks very well. Highly recommended!
