I am offering a technical winter climbing tour in the Slovenian Alps, a huge terrain for mountain adventure lovers. We can make a one day or several days trip around the Julian and the Kamnik Alps!
The mountains of Slovenia are rather accessible during the summer. But in the winter they are covered with snow and ice, so climbing them turns to a fulfilling alpine experience.
This mountaineering outing combines ice and rock climbing, route finding and demanding descents. It all depends on how many days you want to spend in the mountains.
We will choose each itinerary depending on your skills and fitness. Even those who are already familiar with winter mountaineering will find a challenging terrain. However, if you have only basic climbing and mountaineering background (using crampons and ice axe is necesary), do not worry! In this tour you will improve your abilities to feel safe in a mountain during the winter.
Both Julian and Kamnik Alps are part of the Southern Limestone Alps. They are located in the north-western part of Slovenia, within Triglav National Park.
The Julian Alps are mostly rugged peaks with deeply carved valleys and giant limestone walls. From this mountains you will enjoy beautiful landscapes like the Valley of Triglav Lakes and Soča river, with its esmerald blue color.
The Kamnik Alps lie in Austria and Northern Slovenia. It has very important peaks like Grintovec (2,558m), Jezersko Combe(2,540m) and Skuta (2,532m). Here you will have stunning views of Logar valley, one the most picturesque corners of the country.
So, if you are up for this mountaineering outing in the amazing mountains of Slovenia, please contact me! We will have an unforgettable experience in a wonderful winter scenery!

Mountain Guide
I'm a passionate mountain climber who enjoy all different kind of climbing conditions. I have been on a numerous climbing expedition in Himalayas,
Karakorum and elsewhere where I have done a lot of difficult first ascents. One of most prestigious was first ascent on Hagshu north face
(2015 piolets d'or) and NW ridge of Gasherbrum IV last summer.
As an IFMGA mountain guide I love to share my knowledge, passion and experiences with my clients, when I take them climbing skiing or
just hiking. When being off the mountains, I spend most of the time with my family and wife, often climbing in some rock crags.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
