One of the newest trekking paths in Nepal, the Tamang heritage trek is yet another amazing opportunity to explore the Himalayas. Established just a few years ago, this new path, which has been improved steadily with the help of local villagers, will surely become one of the more popular trekking routes in the near future. And on this 17 day adventure, you will have the chance to enjoy it when it is still relatively unknown, and thus much more quiet and peaceful.
Along with being one of the newest hiking paths, the Tamang heritage trek is also a relatively easy one as well. As a result, you don’t have to be a proficient hiking expert to participate. However, because we will be hiking for an average of about 5 hours per day, you should be in good physical condition.
You will get to visit a number of wonderful local villages throughout the Tamang heritage trek, including Gatlang, where you can see its traditional stone houses, Tatponi, where you can enjoy the soothing water of its hot springs, and Briddim, a Tibetan Buddhist village, and home to the beautiful Dukchu Gomba monastery. You will also get to spend a few days in the capital city of Kathmandu as well.
Along with those villages, as well as several others, you will also get to spend a lot of time admiring the breathtaking Himalayan landscape, from its rivers, valleys and glaciers, to its majestic peaks. Just a few of the peaks you will get to see include Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and Shishapangma (8,013m) along with many others.
The Tamang heritage trek is definitely going to be one of the most visited routes in Nepal. And we are excited to offer this 17 day adventure as an opportunity to be one of the first to enjoy it. So send us a request, and let us guide you on this Himalayan hiking adventure.

Our guide Dr Flemming was excellent. He went above and beyond what we expected. We felt very safe and well trained to practice our climbing. Location was perfect and even though rain had been forecasted, they worked with us to make sure we could climb safely.
