Prepare for an unforgettable adventure across the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve in Campeche.

Trekking across this mexican paradise you will feel like a true explorer. We’ll encounter secluded Mayan archaeological ruins, that refuse to be swallowed by the jungle. So they still stand high towering over the nature that surrounds them.

Furthermore, this is the ideal place to get familiar with the local ecosystems. Hiking through Calakmul, we’ll have to keep our eyes open and cameras ready, as there are many curious creatures that inhabit this place. Some of the animals we can spot include the tapir, deer and peccary. But if we are lucky, we can even see a puma, jaguar or ocelot, amongst many other majestic animals.

Right at the base of the peninsula de Yucatan, in the state of Campeche, this biosphere reserve is one of the biggest protected regions in the country. So on top of the animals we can encounter, we’ll identify different species of endemic plants.
