Description

Take in unforgettable scenery and ski a wide variety of slopes and terrains in our one-day snowcat ski touring program!

After meeting in the lovely little mountain town of Steamboat Springs, we will head out to our main destination, Buffalo Pass. Located about an hour northeast of Steamboat Springs, Buffalo Pass is an excellent ski touring spot.

It regularly records some of the deepest snow in all of Colorado. On top of that, the pass’s location within the mountains also means that it receives excellent powder snow for skiing too.

Getting out of Steamboat Springs means that we’ll be able to avoid most of the crowds that descend on the local resorts and get endless slopes in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains all to our selves.

Ski touring with snowcats means that we will be able to sample a variety of different spots on both sides of the pass. It also means that we can tailor the itinerary to the level of all the participants, meaning intermediate and advanced skiers could head out in one snowcat, while beginners go elsewhere in the other.

The snowcats are heated too, so you’ll be able to keep warm in between runs and will be ready to stay out on the slopes all morning and well into the evening too.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for an unforgettable and excellent day of snowcat skiing in the stunning beauty of Buffalo Pass just outside of Steamboat Springs!

If you like the look of this trip, then we think you might also enjoy our day of backcountry skiing in Summit County,  Colorado!

Peggy

Will was great wise and fun to spend the day with.

Phillip

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Lucie

All perfect

Amanda

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
