Sport climbing is a thrilling activity. It is also an activity you can do in every corner of the globe. Thus making it a potentially life long endeavor that can take you around the world, providing you with experiences and views you will never forget. However, sport climbing is a challenging activity, particularly when you try to do it on bigger and more arduous cliffs and walls. As a result, it is important to learn the fundamentals of sport climbing. So, for a full day, I would like to guide you through a detailed, fun and informative sport climbing course in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Spain.
This course will cover a great deal of skills and techniques that are crucial for safe and successful sport climbing. Some of what we will cover includes the following.
Basic Knots
Knowledge of climbing equipment
Basic gestural techniques
Securing and safety in climbing
How to safely move in both top-rope and first step
We will provide you with all you need during this course. And while this is an introductory level course, prior climbing experience is advantageous. Furthermore, participants should be in good physical condition.
If you would like to improve your sport climbing skills, while also learning some new ones, this course is for you. To enjoy it for yourself, just send a request.
I also offer a full day mountaineering course in the Sierra Nevada, near Lugros, that focuses on navigating challenging terrain. You can participate in that course here.

Since I was a kid I travelled around the hills and peaks of Sierra Nevada range in south Spain, going up and down the valleys that made me in love with the mountains world.
Steadily, I discovered other ranges of the Iberic peninsula such as the Pyrenees and Picos de Europa, and then I travelled to the peruvian Andes, the Amazonas jungle, the Moroccan Atlas...
Thanks to these experiences and two years of studying to become a professional mountain guide, I started a new project called Nevalia mountain guides.
I hope I can help you to make true your mountain dreams!

Before the hike, the guide was very professional, taking the initiative to stay in touch, responding quickly, and being very flexible. Shortly before the hike, we received a message that the guide had been changed. The new guide also reached out proactively and communicated very well. During the hike, the guide was very helpful, caring, friendly, and considerate. I had two children with me (ages 11 and 9), for whom this was their first mountain hike. The guide adjusted to their pace, making the hike truly enjoyable. Throughout the hike, we saw many breathtaking views and mountain goats, experiencing both challenging ascents and easier descents. My family was extremely satisfied with the hike!

The trip was great. Unfortunately, due to very bad weather conditions, we were not able to climb to the top of the Toubkal

Our guide was actually Ruben. Alejandro was sick. Ruben was just great. Definitely 5 stars.

Our guide was changed on us last minute. Before the hike, I had missed the messages from the guide because the notifications went to a weird place in my email inbox. Because we messaged him late, he cancelled on us. I was worried we wouldn't be able to go on the hike at all. Luckily, we ended up going with a different guide, Victoria, who was lovely.

I really enjoyed the trip! Alejandro was a great guide. The only few things to work on are: -Alcazaba was not possible because of snow. I definitely understand this but it was not communicated until we were on the trail -Explore share was difficult as a third party to communicate with- It worked better once I got email working directly -I think the cost for the trip is high but if it goes to the guide and not explore-share that's one thing.. if a lot goes to explore-share I would prefer to find guides on my own
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
