Description

There is something peaceful about hiking in a natural area. And on this full day trip, I would like to take you on a tour through one of the nicest areas in Belgium, Spontin, in the Condroz region of the country.

For an entire day, I will take you on a lovely, leisurely 20 kilometer hike through Spontin. The hilly terrain is full of wonderful natural beauty. Full of trees, bridges, rivers, gardens and creeks, you will get to admire the area for all its splendor. Furthermore, in the village of Spontin, where the trip will begin and end, along with encountering some great people, you will also get to see the beautiful Spontin castle!

Due to the ease of this trip, no experience is necessary. However, you should be in good enough physical condition to walk at least 20 kilometers.

Another wonderful aspect of this hiking tour is we will be stopping for a lunch picnic at midday.

Throughout Belgium, there are a number of great places to trek through, see and explore, particularly in the Condroz region. However, I have no doubt the Spontin area is definitely one of the finest.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
