Description

Žiarská Dolina, in Slovakia, is a small and unique valley which attracts many winter sports lovers every year. This splitboarding tour is your chance to explore this fantastic area with an expert mountain guide.

Lying in the Western Tatras and close to the Polish border, Žiarská Dolina offers varied terrain for all kind of riders. Baranec, Baníkov, Príslop and Hruba Kopa are some of the places we can go for some exciting splitboarding adventures on high quality snow. We will visit different spots according to your skills, experience and objectives. Also, keep in mind that if you wish, you may extend your trip more days.

We will find the best snow conditions from the beginning of January to the last days of April . However, sometimes conditions vary completely between the northern slopes and the southern slopes. The north side usually has less snow at the beginning of winter. It is also at a higher risk of avalanches, and has heavy and steep runs. With my knowledge of the mountains, and your preferences in mind, I will be able to design the right itinerary for you!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
