Description

Winter brings a special glow to Andorra. This independent municipality that lies between Spain and France is blessed with tons of snow each year. the best way to explore it is snowshoeing across its valleys and peaks. So I invite you to join me on this snowshoeing weekend in the Ensangents Valley.

On the first day of our trip, we’ll meet at Funicamp gondola at the exit of Encamp. Thereupon, we’ll head towards the Ensagents valley to enjoy its unrivaled views. We’ll reach an altitude of about 1,900 meters to unveil dazzling vistas of an enchanting pine forest. Later, we’ll make our way to the Moreno Lake, located at the Quota 2380. After taking in all the beauty of this lake, we’ll snowshoe to the Ensagents circus and to our shelter. By the end of this day, we will have crossed over 11 kilometers.

The next morning, we will explore the valley of Ransol, a true winter paradise and the perfect location for our adventure. We’ll encounter magnificent peaks and high mountain landscapes. And by the end of this day’s trip, we’ll cover over 7 kilometers.

You don’t need any previous experience or any specific technique. I will show you how to properly use the snowshoes and many useful skills. Although please note that we’ll be snowshoeing between 7 and 11 kilometers each day. Therefore, participants must have a good fitness level.

If you do and wish to form part of this adventure, all you need to do is send me a request. I’ll make sure you have an unforgettable snowshoeing trip in Andorra.

Would you like to further explore the area? I also guide this snowshoeing weekend from Refugi dels Estanys de la Pera, Spain (2 days).
