Description

Come explore the stunning snow-covered landscapes around the Baqueira Beret resort in northewst Catalonia, with a guided snowshoeing tour. I will take you to explore this serene and beautiful place in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees.

Baqueira Beret is the most popular ski resort in Spain. The town is situated on the Bonaigua Pass (1500 m), in the province of Lleida.  The rich and famous come here every season, including the Spanish royal family, drawn by its pristine natural beauty and remoteness.

We will leave the resort behind and go hiking on the snow, on ungroomed slopes, away from the crowds. The beauty of the winter in the Aran Valley provides a unique background for a snowshoe tour.

We will be walking on untracked snow, through snowy meadows, going up and entering a beautiful forest, with trees all covered on snow. The views along the snowshoeing hike are amazing, you will get spectacular views over peaks and lakes, in the middle of a peaceful environment.

A hidden spot in the valley will be the perfect setting for our group picnic. We will enjoy the break surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Pyrenees, and then head back to Baqueira.

If you want to enjoy a great snowshoeing tour, just contact me and book your place! Bring your friends along and spend a wonderful time at the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees next winter.

Mountain Guide

I love what I do and love to transmit my passion while guiding.

After touring the world fulfilling my dreams, I have put together all the knowledge gained and a strong background as a mountain guide to become one of the most versatile, dedicated and professional guides in the Pyrenees.

My resume has technical training in mountain medicine, snow studies, search and rescue complete training, meteorology and botany.

I spend the winters enjoying the unique snow conditions in the Aran Valley, as a ski touring and freeride Guide, and summers climbing the countless areas of excellent rock, either granite, limestone or conglomerate in the Pyrenees. I also spend a lot of time in Iceland during the summer guiding my friends and clients across these incredible landscapes.

While traveling the world, I make every effort to show the beauty of the landscapes, the quality of the rock and the best snow in the Pyrenees to everyone who wants to check them out.

Please get in touch with me if you want to discover the Pyrenees!

What people are saying about Roger

Roger was my instructor for a glacier guiding course in Iceland - he went above and beyond to share his incredible knowledge/experience. I would recommend him as an instructor!

Roger has guided our groups on the Snoworks Backcountry skiing trip to Baqueira that I've joined in 2019 and 2020, and I can vouch for his excellent and very safety conscious approach to route choice and group management. His expert knowledge of the area meant we were able to ski untracked powder almost every day. His friendly and very positive personality has also made our days out with him great fun.

Makes every trip into the mountains a real adventure.

Roger is a fantastic person and a super guide. We spent one week with him on Monte Rosa where he safely guided us on glaciers and we learned a lot about high altitude mountaineering. He knows his stuff on the mountain, on glaciers and on climbing. Always positive and a great attitude. Thanks for a great experience, Roger!

5 Star guide with a lot of experience in the mountains, extremely professional. He made me feel safe and in the same time he challenged me.
