Trekking Guide

My name is Andrés de la Torre and I´m on of the lead guides at Guías de Picos. I'm a Middle Mountain Sports Technician AEGM, deeply knowledgeable of the Cantabrian Mountains and Picos de Europa.

Always thinking of new and different activities, the routes I propose are not limited to walking through beautiful places... you will remember the experience for life!

With a degree in Digital Journalism, I try to organize innovative programs that value local resources and traditions.

I can not conceive the mountain without friends and I believe that there is no better experience than a bivouac under the stars.

What people are saying about this trip

Emma

Excelent experience with Andrés as a guide. I booked the activity as my son's birthday gift, then did it again with a friend, and I'll go once again for sure... Andrés is an experienced, didactic and attentive guide. He adapts the route so you can enjoy 100% and be safe. He shares his love and respect for the mountains, and helps everybody to enjoy the trip. It's ideal to disconnect and recharge batteries.

Michelle

Great first experience with snowshoes. The route is very scenic, with great view of San Glorio area. It is accessible for all levels, and it's really worth it. Andrés is a great guide and teacher, I hope I can do more adventures with him.

John

Andres was a phenomenal guide who made every day feel special and unique. Even when the weather was so bad we couldn’t go out he found a local oddity for us to go and explore based off of something I mentioned in the first day. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
