Minnewaska State Park covers more than 90 square kilometers in Ulster County, State of New York. Although this natural area has three stunning lakes to visit, our trek includes two of them: Minnewaska and Awosting lakes.
This fantastic snowshoeing hike starts in Lake Minnewaska, from where we’ll walk across an amazing hemlock tree forest. On our way to Lake Awosting we’ll appreciate breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. After a quick break for lunch, we’ll head back to where we started following a majestic mountain stream.
As this hiking tour is available year round, snowshoes or micro spikes may be required depending on the season you’d like to visit Minnewaska State Park. In that case they can be provided if necessary.
If you’re a fit, new hiker looking for a good challenge near New York City or even an intermediate-to-advanced trekker in search of a relaxing day, do not hesitate to contact me and join this trip!
