If you’d like to take a break from skiing, snowshoe walks are a fantastic idea! This time, I invite you to explore the backcountry of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, away from the crowds and surrounded by pristine snowy landscapes.
You can join a group for a half-day or full-day snowshoe walk. There are fixed dates every week of the snowshoe season.
An ideal activity for those seeking a mellow and enjoyable time in snowy surroundings. The trip is suitable for normally fit people. Children above eight can also take part, always accompanied by adults.
We’ll walk at a gentle pace in low terrains around meadows and forests. There will be plenty of time for taking photographs and looking for animal prints. Depending on the group, we can reach higher elevations by using cable cars.
You can join half-day snowshoe walks every Wednesday and Sunday. The trip takes 3 hours (between 9 and 12 am).
This full-day program is ideal for those looking for a more strenuous and adventurous snowshoeing experience. The objective consists on reaching a summit (it can also be a mountain hut or a high mountain pass), where we can enjoy breathtaking views.
This snowshoe-treks are aimed for people with a good level of fitness. It’s also perfect for those who have already done some some hill/mountain walking or or other full day activities in the outdoors.
You can join a full-day snowshoe trek every Thursday and Saturday. They usually take between 6 to 7 hours (from 9 am to 15.30 pm). You should bring a picnic lunch as we’ll have lunch in the open.
Private snowshoe walks are also available for groups or those who prefer a more tailored walk.
Enjoy the beauty of the French Alps in this snowshoe walk around Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Send a request to book this trip!

Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to trek, climb, ski and mountain bike in mountain ranges from the wild Yukon in the West to the mighty Himalayas in the East, and quite a lot in between.
I'm a certified International Mountain Leader (UIMLA) and an Alpine ski and telemark instructor (ISIA). I speak Danish, English, German and French. I live in Les Houches, France with my wife and our young son.

In the trip booking, having additional clarity on what type of hike it will be would be greatly appreciated (distance, time, intensity, etc.)
