Nejc, an IFMGA mountain guide, takes you on a 1-day climbing trip in the north face of Mount Triglav, taking the Slovenian route.
Julian Alps
1 Day
All year
This is one of the easiest climbing routes on Triglav north face. Join me for a wonderful adventure!
At 2864 m, Triglav is the highest peak in Slovenia. Its huge north face is one of the most impressive walls in the Eastern Alps and a paradise for climbers. In fact, there are more than 120 climbing routes only on this face.
For this 1-day climbing trip, I propose to take the Slovenian route.
This is a solid rock climbing route with a low level of difficulty in general. However, it has a couple of serious sections, a very scenic rock window and a quite exposed rung in one of the last parts.
The Slovenian route is the ideal choice if you want to get started on rock climbing.
Our starting point will be Aljažev dom in Vrata Valley. From there, we'll take the Prag Route and hike for almost 2 hours to the foot of Triglav. After we descent the Slovenian route, we can go back to Vrata Valley or go up to the summit of Triglav (2 hours of hike) and then return to the valley
Please contact me if you want to join me for a climbing trip in Mount Triglav. Tell me about your wishes and experience and I'll help you organize your adventure.
If you are looking for other activities in this famous Slovenian peak, you can also consider this 2-day climbing trip to Mount Triglav from Krma Valley.

Mountain Guide
Mountains have been a part of my life since childhood. I started doing more serious mountaineering expeditions at the end of high school after successfully completing all levels of mountain climbing courses. In the last 10 years, I have been at least on one expedition every year. I climbed in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, the USA, Scotland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France, Swiss, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Tibet and Nepal.
I completed my training as a mountaineering guide and became a full member of the IFMGA family.
I enjoy climbing both Slovenian and foreign mountains.
Some of my most unforgettable and also the most successful routes:
Tsoboje - Slovenian direct (2021)
Kang Ri - East pillar (2013)
Janak - Blue racer (2012)
K7 West - The dreamers of the golden caves (2011)
The route I climbed on K7 West was rewarded with Piolet d’or recognition for mountaineering achievements in the world.
If you want to climb the north face of Triglav (Slovenia’s highest mountain) or any other walls in Slovenia, please contact me. I also enjoy guiding ski trails in winter in the Julian Alps.

What a great day with Nejc! It may have been white out conditions with clouds but the climb and summit was amazing! Nejc was a joy to climb with and an incredible guide! Picked me up and we headed out to the park. He has so much experience as an elite alpinist and a great personality. Would love to climb again with him! Highly recommend Nejc and this trip.

I'm very happy and privileged to get to climb Matterhorn together with Marija. As a guide myself, I very much appreciate the chance to meet someone as experienced and knowledgeable as her, and to be able to gather knowledge. She's positive, humble and trustworthy, and I hope to do many more advanced climbs with her. Great guide, great trip. Thank you!

Andrej is not extremely talkative but everything he said was gold. I hope to learn more from him, and it would be a great gift to humanity if he wrote some of his little stories in a little book.

Marija was professional and showed great patience and fitness. This all culminated in a successful ascent of the Matterhorn. I would recommend her.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
