Skrlatica North Face, Julian Alps, Guided Climb

The Julian Alps are full of great climbing opportunities all year round. However, depending on the time of year, the experience can be extremely different. And on this winter season trip, I would like to guide you to the summit of Skrlatica (2,740m) via its North Face.

Despite this trip following one of the easier routes, during the winter this climb can still be a challenge. There are weather conditions, snow and unpredictable ice to contend with. As a result, I will see to it that you are properly guided every step of the way, so you reach the summit safely. And once you reach the top of Skrlatica, you will be able to enjoy some spectacular views. And because this is a winter trip, you will get to gaze out at the snow capped peaks of the Julian Alps, as well as the gorgeous Slovenian landscape below, blanketed in beautiful white snow.

The trip will begin Krnica, and from there, we will make our way to the Great Dnina Kugi’s bend. Afterwards, we will make our approach to Skrlatica. The ascent should take approximately 4 hours. And after you’ve enjoyed the great views from the summit, we will then make our way back down to the Kotla before returning to the base of the mountain.
