Description

Experience the peak natural beauty of Patagonia, a sparse region home to grasslands, deserts and the southern Andes.

During an action-packed ski touring week, you’ll get to know the impressive sights of South America’s southern frontier.

We’ll begin our journey in the popular city of Bariloche, resting at the foot of the Andes and surrounds the stunningly grand Nahuel Huapi Lake. We’ll tour along some of the best slopes in the region, hidden to most skiers and known only to locals.

We will enjoy the slopes of the ski resort of Catedral, the biggest in South America as well as the Southern Hemisphere. Then we’ll explore those regions far from the much ridden lines.

These places include La Lagunita, La Palmera, an untrodden stretch of snow that has been called a deep snow skier’s paradise, and Segundo Lomo, with steep slopes and deep forests covered with deep snow.

Onwards we continue to the beautiful mountains of Lopez, Chalhuaco and Inacayal.

We’ll ski across the border and enter Chile, exploring the volcano of Casablanca, which now hosts lovely ski slopes.

We’ll end our skiing adventure on the mountain of Mirador after crossing back into Argentina.

Get in touch now to reserve your place in the pristine beauty of Patagonia, which stretches across the border of Chile and Argentina. Discover incredible Andean vistas and quality snow during this full ski tour.

Mountain Guide

Aloja! I´m Diego Simari. I´m 31 years old and I´m still having all my teeth! Patagonian by choice, I grew up in Bariloche - an overwhelming paradise in northern Patagonia - where I still live in.

When I was 19 years old I was introduced into the “vertical world”, andinism, and since then it became my addiction.

Even though I had the chance to meet beautiful places throughout the whole Andes, from Southern Patagonia in Argentina and Chile to the Northern Andes of Bolivia and Perú, I was infatuated by El Chaltén; a little town with not only the most perfect granite needles, and wild surroundings, but with the warmth of real friendship. The place that you dream of!

One thing led to another and I spent more and more time on the mountains… so finally I ended up getting, in 2014, my mountain guide UIAGM IFMGA certificate! Since then I´ve used it as a way for exploring other areas, mainly in El Chalten and Bariloche but also Mendoza, Huaraz and the Alps.

Despite my love for the mountains, dancing has also been my passion since I was young. Part of my living philosophy comes from that side since I’m always trying to find the real rhythm in life! Living without needing too much, exploring, sharing and growing within nature.

And that´s why I found in Patagonia a place for expansion! A place where everything is not only unpolluted but possible.

Come to Patagonia, let me show you this paradise and its magic!!

“The mountain is just the way, enjoying is the real goal”

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
