Iceland is a true natural paradise! It offers hundreds of square kilometers of complete emptiness and total stillness. Moreover, the mountains in the Tröllaskagi peninsula (Troll Peninsula) in the north of the island are in no way inferior to those in the Alps. Join me on this amazing ski touring program in Iceland!
Both skiers and snowboarders will get their money’s worth. This ski touring program in Iceland is an experience you can’t miss out on!
Our days will usually start at sea level. Depending on the day, we’ll ascend from 800 to 1250 meters. Afterwards, descents will bring us back to the deep blue fjords of the Arctic Ocean.
The trip includes 4 days of ski touring, one day of ski touring on the completely wild northeastern tip of Eyjafjörður and a day of sightseeing. We’ll take a boat to reach Eyjafjörður!
We will be staying in a cozy self-catering cottage by the sea. The house is superbly equipped. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining room, a living room and central heating. Towels and linens are provided. And there is also a small sauna and a hot tub!
This ski touring program in Iceland is an experience that every ski tourer should have at least once in their lifetimes. So join me on this incredible trip and discover everything this area has to offer. You won’t regret it!
For dinner we’ll go to a lovely harbor restaurant in the lively city center and then spend the night at a hotel in the city.
You’ll drive the rental car to Eyjafjörður fjord (5 hours). The road is beautiful and will give you an idea of the stunning landscapes we’ll enjoy during the week.
From gentle, wide slopes to very steep descents. The mountains of Tröllaskagi are very diverse! They only have one thing in common: solitude!
Blue lagoon, geysers, volcanoes or the city’s cultural offer.

Mountain Guide
My passion for nature and the mountains led me to become a mountain guide. I started my career as a pilot and, for a while, dedicated my life to university. However, over the years, my love for the mountains increased.
Since then, I have been working as a mountain guide, taking my clients on great ski and climbing adventures. I guide around my country and also around Europe: Spain, Italy, France, England, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Norway. I sometimes also go to Chile, Canada, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
As an IFMGA certified mountain guide, it is a pleasure for me to guide people from all over the world to these amazing destinations. My main objective is to have you enjoy a great time in the mountains while keeping you safe.
I invite you to have a look at the mountain programs and tours I propose. In the case you want to join one of them and if I'm not available, one of my colleagues will guide you.

Rudi was awesome. Very knowledgable and gave me a lot of climbing pointers for via ferrata. Also, super helpful with recommending other great sites in Austria and Germany. I hope to climb with him again when I’m back in central Europe.

Rudi is an experienced mountaineer with a great deal of knowledge about the area and trails available. He coordinated closely with me to determine my skill level and objective for the hike. It was an absolutely terrific day.

Explore-Share took advantage of my inexperience. I had asked for a beginner level trip, instead, they recommended me a rather advanced trip. Neither Explore-Share nor the guide were forthcoming with information until the very last moment. The guide sold my participation to another outfit about a week before the trip. Neither Explore-Share neither the guide are trustworthy and can be relied upon in making arrangements.
