Ski touring in Borovets resort in Bulgaria (with Musala Peak), 3 days

When it comes to ski touring in Bulgaria, you can’t do much better than enjoying it on the highest peak in the Balkans Mountain Range: Mount Musala (2,925m). And, on this 3-day adventure, that is exactly what you’ll get to do. Moreover, you’ll get to enjoy it in Bulgaria’s oldest ski resort: Borovets.

Our trip will begin after you arrive at the Sofia Airport. From there, we will take a transfer to the beautiful Borovets ski area, where you will spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse.

On day 2 of the trip, after breakfast, we will take a gondola to an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters. From there, you will get to enjoy 4 hours of fantastic ski touring. The area you will be skiing on have no real technical difficulty and the elevation gain is gradual. After that, we will trek to the top of the Musala Peak, where you can enjoy some amazing views. Afterwards, we will make our way back down to Borovets, where you will be transferred to your guesthouse.

On the final day of the trip, after breakfast, you will get to spend several hours ski touring around the beautiful Borovets skiing area. In the early afternoon, you will then catch a transfer to the Sofia airport, where you can take your flight home. There is also an optional opportunity to visit the Sofia city center as well.
