At this time, I bring a ski touring day in the amazing Stubacher Sonnblick for all those ski lovers that want to initiate in this activity. This peak is a glaciated mountain with 3088 meters high. Further, it’s part of the Hohe Tauern mountains situated on the border between East Tyrol and Salzburg.
The ascent of the summit does not required alpine skills and it’s also accessible by cable car. However, it’s important to be in a good physical condition and also have prior experience skiing. Stubacher Sonnblick is frequently visited by many skiers during the winter.
You will meet your guide at Weißsee Gletscherwelt resort, where after a nice walk you arrive to Rudolfshütte. From there, the skiing traverse starts crossing the Weißsee lake until reaching the Stubacher Sonnblick. Once on the top, you can appreciate amazing views. Finally, you go back to Rudolfshütte, enjoying a great ski touring descent on the valley.
– It is a great opportunity for all beginners to achieve their first ski tour in a 3000 meter’s mountain.
– The only requirement is to be in good physical condition and experience skiing.
– This adventure also offers the chance to discover and appreciate the most breathtaking landscapes in the Austrian Alps.
– What is more, the guiding is done by an IFMGA certified mountain guide.
What are you waiting for live such a great ski touring adventure?! If you have any interest on it, please feel free to contact me. I guaranteed you one of the best experiences of your life!

Mountain Guide
The mountains have always been a great part of my life. I was a youth leader of the Alpine Association of Zell am See, Bergrettungsmann, and completed the training as a ski and snowboard instructor. I studied meteorology because it can be very useful in mountaineering. My first trips took me to the Eastern Alps, around Piz Bernina and Biancogray. I also had the chance many times the amazing Mont Blanc range and the peaks around Chamonix. Finally, I got to practice in the high mountains of Bolivia and Chile.
I have really found my calling as a mountain guide. I am right where I always wanted to be. The smile on my clients' faces at the summit or after an intense ski day is so rewarding!
I am part of a team of local guides (Bergführer Zell am See Kaprun), all friends of mine, guys with whom I share the passion for the mountains. They are Markus B, Markus H and Gerald, all IFMGA certified guides. Our philosophy is "to know how to do something well is to enjoy it". Therefore, we always keep learning to give you the best experience.

Andreas is a big professional - has found best snow conditions and created a big adventure despite not much fresh snow and overall situation with warm weather. 5 stars!

Great guiding experience. We had a couple of touring newbies, and Andreas was very patient. Would book again.
