A trip that combines a ski mountaineering ascent to Breithorn (4165 m) with a very beautiful ski descent through the Porta Nera Glacier.
Alps
2 Days
Mar - May
This program combines an easy ski mountaineering ascent to the Breithorn, with a beautiful ski descent through the Porta Nera Glacier.
During this trip we'll ascent a 4000 meters peak: the Breithorn, in the Mount Rose massif.
After that, we'll descent through one of the most beautiful glaciers in the Monte Rosa range, Porta Nera.
As regards accommodation, we'll stay in the hut 'Rifugio Guide del Cervino' at Plateau Rosà. Here you will enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Matterhorn and taste delicious Italian food!
Depending on our schedule, we may have time to visit Zermatt. It's a wonderful Swiss village at the base of the Matterhorn.
This can be a 1-day trip. We can spend one night at the hut and climb up Breithorn the following day. After that, we descend through Porta Nera glacier.
However, we can also take it easy and split it into a 2-day trip. This way, we will sleep 2 nights in the hut, climb up Beithorn the first day and descend the Porta Nera glacier the second day. Besides, this second option allows more time to be spent visiting the village of Zermatt.
Please contact me if you want to organize a ski trip in this area. I will be glad to be your guide there.
I also like organizing ski trips in other places like Mount Adamello, Lombardia or in the Mont Blanc Massif.

Mountain Guide
I am a young Italian UIAGM - UVGAM guide and I live the mountain in all its aspects.
I love being in the mountains during every period of the year and I think each season is special and give us the possibility to discover a different side of the mountain: freeride skiing and ice climbing in winter, ski touring and ice/mixed routes in spring, rock climbing and trekking/alpinism in summer and autumn. Each experience lived in the mountain is unique and for me it is a real pleasure to help and assist people living something that sometimes is almost like a dream.
I speak fluently Italian, English, French and Spanish.
I live in Valtournenche, in the Matterhorn valley, and work with a well consolidated group of UIAGM mountain guides, so we can provide the professional support needed even in case of big groups of people: by contacting me you will always find a solution for your trip in the mountains!
