Description

Would you like to get started with ski mountaineering and contemplate incredible sights of Sierra Nevada? Then follow me on this 1-day program to the top of the Veleta Peak, one of the highest mountains in the Iberian Peninsula.

At an elevation of 3,398 meters of altitude, Veleta Peak is the fourth tallest summit in the country and the second in the Sierra Nevada. Apart from being one of the most popular destinations in the range, it’s also a great option to get started with ski mountaineering.

During the program, we’ll depart from los Albergues and follow the Aguila route to the summit. This path is very nice and not too crowded. We’ll enjoy this activity during 4-5 hours and contemplate breathtaking views of the summit.

Although it’s not mandatory to have prior experience, keep in mind that we’ll face an elevation gain of 900 meters. Therefore, it’s important to have a good level of fitness. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you on the way.
