Description

Mount Faloria (2,123m) is a mountain of the Dolomites, located near Cortina d’Ampezzo. This trip is your chance to climb its amazing and challenging via ferrata, Ski Club 18, under expert guidance. Join me for an unforgettable alpine adventure!

Lying next to Sorapiss (3,205m), Faloria is a popular peak for skiing, hiking and via ferrata outings. The “Ski Club 18” is a via ferrata leading to the top of the mountain and offering breathtaking views of the entire Ampezzo basin. It was built in 2009 with iron cables and pitons, and shielded by plastic wedges.

This via ferrata trip is only for experts. The exposed route is challenging and has numerous vertical sections. The steps and ladders will make our experience possible but you still need advanced climbing skills and a good fitness level!

The starting point of Ski Club 18 is reachable by taking the Faloria Cable Car and getting off at the Mandres middle station. From there, a 1-hour hike will get us the the via ferrata. For the descent we can use the cable car or hike all the way down. The complete outing will takes us 4 hours.

The trip itself and Refaelo the guide was great and they even gave a refund for my daughter who didn't participate at last due to sickness. But All the corresponding before the trip was bad. No details were given about the ferrata and not even about the meeting point and time. It took a lot of time to get answers for my questions and sometimes didn't get any.
