Want to take your trekking skills to the next level? This 3-day Sierra Nevada Trilogy offers the opportunity to conquer the three highest and most emblematic peaks in Spain: Alcazaba (3,366 m), Veleta (3,396 m) and Mulhacén (3,482 m).
Our meeting point will be in Granada. From there, we will go to Capileira where we’ll spend our first night in a hostel. On the following days we’ll climb these three different amazing peaks that can be found in the Sierra Nevada National Park.
First, we’ll explore Alcazaba (3,366 m). Then, Veleta (3,396 m). And finally, we’ll climb the highest summit in this mountain range: Mulhacén. At 3,482 m (11,421 ft), it’s also the highest point of the Iberian Peninsula and is known as the roof of Spain. After long trekking days, on our second and last nights, we’ll sleep in the Poqueira Refuge located at 2,500 meters.
Although we’ll split this expedition into three days in order to reach the top of these mountains in the best possible conditions, you will need some previous preparation. All participants will need to have some prior mountaineering experience as well as a good fitness level.
Are you ready for this 3-day Sierra Nevada Trilogy? Then send your request! I will be happy to lead you on this unique journey.

Fantastic winter ascent of Mulhacen together with guide Mariano Frutos in mid-January. Very warm and sunny day and extremely icy on the top but fantastic views all the way to the Moroccan Rif mountains. Few people on the mountain and a lot of Iberian mountain goats. Mariano was excellent and Pablo at Explore-Share made the logistics easy and straightforward as always.
