If you are a newbie to rock climbing, join us on this easy rock climbing adventure in Shek O. Located on the south-east side of Hong Kong island, Shek O is one area worth exploring. The spot is popular for rock climbing and abseiling, especially for beginners given the availability of easily accessible routes.
The crags on Shek O are located towards the small cape of Tai Tau Chau and offer an enjoyable experience in a beautiful setting.
Though the number of routes here is fewer as compared to other locations; in terms of difficulty, these are just perfect for beginners and children. Of the three climbing routes, Rubble Zawn and Main face involve sports climbing, while Gaping Zawn incorporates traditional climbing.
We will explore the route according to your preference. Get ready to see panoramic vistas of the beautiful city of Kowloon all along.
We will begin from Shau Kei Wan station and take a bus to the Shek O. Once there, we will set on our hike to the climbing site. At the site, we will first brief you about the safety instructions. Here, you will also learn some easy climbing techniques. And, post-demo, you will be ready to scale!
You will climb for a couple of hours on solid granite slabs before taking a lunch break. You will continue to climb post-lunch and finish by evening to end this incredible trip.
The trip is an excellent way of letting go off your fears and grab onto your confidence as a climber. No previous experience is required, however, it is recommended to have a fit body.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
