I have no doubts Serrai di Sottoguda is the best ice climbing spot of the Dolomites. And I want to invite you there to enjoy a 3-day ice climbing course.
Serrai di Sottoguda is a deep and natural gorge laying among Malga Ciapela and Sottoguda, very close to Marmolada Glacier. It is a 2-kilometer canyon surrounded by giant ice waterfalls. Besides that, the breathtaking scenery around make the place one of the most stunning areas of the region.
I have prepared a learning program suitable for all levels. During 3 unique days, you will learn the most important techniques for ice climbing. Besides that, I will adapt the content of the course according to your needs and expectations.
As a local guide I can guarantee Serrai di Sottoguda is the ideal place to start an ice climbing activity or improve your current skills. It is also possible to enjoy an easy 200-meter multi-pitch route that will allow you to put into practice all you learned.
Please find at the end of the description the different starting points you can chose depending on your convenience. Then, once you get in touch with me, we can discuss the accommodation nights. I have some great places to recommend in the area. Please feel free to ask me all the details you need to know before booking.
As a passionate about climbing in the Dolomites, I’m sure this trip will help you to face greater challenges in the future. Contact me now! Let’s plan your next ice climbing course together!

Mountain Guide
I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.
I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.
Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

Enrico was an amazing guide!!! My husband and I tackled via ferrata Punta Anna in Cortina which was challenging and exciting. Enrico was very responsive and communicative upfront, detailing the route and what we could expect. On the day of he was an excellent instructor, supportive and patient. He helped us have the best possible time out on our first via ferrata in the Dolomites. He took a ton of photos and videos during our outing which he shared with us afterwards. When we mentioned we would be in the area for another week, he went above and beyond and gave us his recommendations for the best hikes in the area. They were spot on! We would highly recommend using Enrico as a mountain guide!!

Our guide Filippo was fantastic. We insisted on exploring the Delle Trincee which turned out to be outside the ability of our group. Filippo was patient and fun and helped us traverse several sections that matched our ability while keeping our spirits high. The equipment was excellent, the communication with the outfitter was excellent. If you're looking for a guide to help you explore the Dolomites, we had a great experience with Enrico and his team.

We had the most amazing via ferrata experience in Cortina! This was our first time in Cortina and first time doing a via ferrata. Enrico was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable of the area and was also very attentive to safety. We had such a fun time and would recommend him and explore share to all of our friends!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
