Description

It’s my pleasure to invite you to ski on Senja Island for a week. I have no doubt it will be the trip of a lifetime!

Senja is the second largest island in Norway. It is located in the province of Tromso, about 350 km north of the Polar Circle. A real paradise for backcountry skiers!

If I had to sum up the main reasons why I’d like to guide you in Senja, I’d list the following ones:

  • It will be a very active tour, where all my guests will make the best turns;

  • Exclusive experience: I will guide a small group of only 4 participants;

  • The most incredible ski descents towards the sea;

  • Unique views of the island and its fjords.

In the west of Senja there is the picturesque fishing village of Mefjordvær. It is a really nice place where you will find amazing high mountain landscapes. It also has one of the most beautiful fjords in the island.

Mefjordvær will not only be our starting point but also our lodging base. We’ll have dinner, rest and share our best stories of the day at an oceanfront hotel of this area: Mefjord Brygge.

At the bottom of this page you’ll find more details of the day by day itinerary. Next confirmed date is March 10th, 2018. The deadline to book your place is February 11th.

So fill out the form and get in touch with me as soon as possible. I’ll be happy to be your guide on this one week ski tour on Senja Island!

What people are saying about ES Adventure Guides

Peter

This was a great trip and Explore Share made finding the right trip super easy. Our guide was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and experienced and willing to teach us the skills we would have needed to climb the Matterhorn. Unfortunatly, the conditions were not right to climb so our guide recemmended another trip which was still a great experience and lots of fun.

Emma

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
